Exhibition chalet
A bespoke timber chalet that asserts your brand and brings customers back, Christmas market after Christmas market.

Is your chalet doing your brand more harm than good?
A kit that won't survive winter
Fragile wood, patchy weatherproofing, finishes that turn grey: the cheapest chalet costs you dearly the very next season.
A brand lost in the line-up
Generic cladding and fixed dimensions: your chalet looks like every other on the square, and your brand fades away.
Hire that keeps adding up
Re-hiring every winter costs more, over time, than owning your own timber chalet, paid off across several editions.

What is an exhibition chalet?
An exhibition chalet is a demountable, transportable timber structure installed outdoors to sell, offer tastings or welcome the public at Christmas markets, pop-up markets and open-air events. Where an event booth lives under the shelter of a hall, the chalet faces rain and frost while providing genuine usable volume: a sales counter, storage, a protective roof and cladding in your colours. It does outdoors what a shopping mall booth does in an arcade: it plants your brand right in the middle of the footfall.
Bespoke timber chalet or flat-pack kit: the contest
| Bespoke timber chalet | Flat-pack chalet kit | |
|---|---|---|
| Durability | Treated timber, built to last several seasons | Entry-grade timber that greys quickly |
| Weatherproofing | Carefully crafted roof and frame, tested in the workshop | Approximate, patched up every winter |
| Brand cladding | Fascia, colours and logo integrated from the design stage | Generic, with very limited personalisation |
| Dimensions | Tailored to your pitch and your business | Fixed, dictated by the manufacturer |
| Payback | Pays for itself season after season, and can be resold | Replaced as soon as it wears out |
| Indicative budget | €6,000 to €15,000 and beyond | €1,500 to €6,000 |
Illustrative comparison. A third route for a one-off need: seasonal hire, from €500 to €2,500 per chalet.
A chalet that earns its keep season after season
Your brand breaks out of the line-up
Tailored dimensions, a fascia and frontage in your colours: visitors pick you out at first glance among the standard chalets on the square.
A structure that stands up to winter
Treated timber, a sturdy frame and a watertight roof: your chalet shrugs off rain and frost without greying in its very first season.
An investment that pays for itself
Bought once, rebuilt every year: within two or three seasons, bespoke works out cheaper than hiring again and again.
A genuine sales tool
Sales counter, storage, servery and lighting designed around your business: you trade in proper conditions, not from a makeshift shed.

Exhibition chalet prices: hire, kit or bespoke
The budget is reckoned per chalet and depends first on how you acquire it: seasonal hire, a kit purchase or bespoke manufacturing. The benchmarks below position each option; to widen the comparison to every format, our guide to the cost of an exhibition stand breaks down the market ranges.
| Option | Indicative price | Best suited to |
|---|---|---|
| Chalet hire (per season) | €500 to €2,500 per chalet | A single Christmas market, without building equity in the structure |
| Chalet kit (purchase) | €1,500 to €6,000 | Occasional use on a tight budget, limited personalisation |
| Bespoke timber chalet (purchase) | €6,000 to €15,000 and beyond | A brand present every season, premium image and durability |
Indicative ranges, depending on dimensions, timber grade and level of finish. From two or three seasons onwards, buying bespoke often beats hiring year after year.

Hannah H. Retail Network Events ManagerFrequently asked questions
It hosts your brand at markets, outdoor events or brand villages, in a warm, welcoming atmosphere that sets you apart.
Yes. Designed to be dismantled, transported and reinstalled, the chalet is a durable investment for regular exhibitors.
Fully: dimensions, cladding, lighting, furniture and signage are adapted to your brand identity.
A flat-pack chalet to buy generally sits between 1,500 and 6,000 € depending on size and wood quality. Hire often runs from 500 to 2,500 € per chalet for the duration of the market. A bespoke timber chalet starts around 6,000 € and exceeds 15,000 € for large finished structures: an investment paid off over several seasons.
Hire goes either through the market organiser, who provides standard chalets to exhibitors, or through a specialist supplier. Check the dimensions, the state of the wood, the weatherproofing, the electrics and the cladding options. For a brand that returns every year, buying a bespoke chalet quickly becomes more advantageous than repeated hire.
The kit appeals with its price and quick assembly, but stays standard, barely customisable and sometimes fragile over time. The bespoke Decore Studio Events timber chalet is sized for your use, clad in your brand's colours and built to last several seasons. For a premium image and regular use, bespoke is the most coherent choice.
We favour sturdy woods treated for the outdoors (treated spruce, pine or fir), able to withstand rain, frost and repeated handling. The quality of the frame, the roof and the finishes determines the chalet's lifespan. Our bespoke chalets are made in the workshop with wood selected for its sturdiness and its aesthetic finish.
